Songs - An Seisiún is mó ar Domhan

Óró sé do Bheatha ‘Bhaile
Curfá:
Oró ‘sé do bheatha ‘bhaile!
Oró ‘sé do bheatha ‘bhaile!
Oró ‘sé do bheatha ‘bhaile!
Anois ar theacht an tsamhraidh.

‘Sé do bheatha! a bhean ba léanmhar!
B’é ár gcreach tú a bheith i ngéibheann,
Do dhúiche bhreá i seilbh meirleach,
‘S tú díolta leis na Gallaibh.

Tá Gráinne Mhaol ag teacht thar sáile,
Óglaigh armtha léi mar gharda,
Gaeil iad féin ‘s ní Gaill ná Spáinnigh.
‘s cuirfid ruaig ar Ghallaibh.

A bhuí le Rí na bhFeart go bhfeicim,
Mura mbéim beo ‘na dhiaidh ach seachtain,
Gráinne Mhaol agus míle gaiscíoch
Ag fógairt fáin ar Ghallaibh.

The Dawning of the Day
One morning early I walked forth by the margin of Lough Leane
The sunshine dressed the trees in green and summer bloomed again
I left the town and wandered on through fields all green and gay
And whom should I meet but a colleen sweet at the dawning of the day.

No cap or cloak this maiden wore her neck and feet were bare
Down to the grass in ringlets fell her glossy golden hair
A milking pail was in her hand she was lovely, young and gay
She wore the palm from Venus bright by the dawning of the day.

On a mossy bank I sat me down with the maiden by my side
With gentle words I courted her and asked her to be my bride
She said, "Young man don't bring me blame" and swiftly turned away
And the morning light was shining bright at the dawning of the day.

Beidh aonach amárach
Beidh aonach amárach i gContae an Chláir,
Beidh aonach amárach i gContae an Chláir,
Beidh aonach amárach i gContae an Chláir,
Cén mhaith dom é? Ní bheidh mé ann!

Curfa
A mháithrín, a’ ligfidh tú chun aonaigh mé?
A mháithrín, a’ ligfidh tú chun aonaigh mé?
A mháithrín, a’ ligfidh tú chun aonaigh mé?
A mhúirnín ó, ná héiligh é!

Níl tú a deich ná a haon déag fós,
Níl tú a deich ná a haon déag fós,
Níl tú a deich ná a haon déag fós,
Nuair a bheidh tú ‘trí déag, beidh tú mór.

Táimse i ngrá le gréasaí bróg,
Táimse i ngrá le gréasaí bróg,
Táimse i ngrá le gréasaí bróg,
Mur’ bhfaigh’ mé é ní bheidh mé beo!

B’fhearr liom féin mo ghréasaí bróg,
B’fhearr liom féin mo ghréasaí bróg,
B’fhearr liom féin mo ghréasaí bróg,
Ná oif’geach airm le lásaí óir!
